COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – If your goals include enhancing your archery skills for the upcoming season, to make the U18 or U21 United States Archery Team, to be recruited to or participate on a collegiate archery team, or to represent your country on the highest stage, then USAA can help your development through the Regional Elite Program and the National Elite Program U18.
Athletes are encouraged to invite their personal coaches to attend High Performance Program camps, so that the personal coach may further develop and learn alongside their athlete.
Each program also provides for quarterly virtual education sessions where athletes learn about the High Performance Ethos, anti-doping rules, how to safely and effectively progress within the Athlete Development Model and athlete competencies, develop training plans, and practice setting personal goals to achieve optimal individual performance.
The Regional Elite Program is designed to develop recurve, compound, barebow and Para athletes ages 13-18 to be nationally and internationally competitive. The program includes two self-funded regional camps per year, which are two to four days in length. Camps provide an excellent opportunity to receive expert coaching in a fun and structured environment, train with peers and get feedback on equipment tuning and learn new training skills.
The National Elite Program is designed to provide support to recurve athletes under the age of 18 who aim to be internationally competitive. The program will consist of two camps at the Easton Archery Center of Excellence in Chula Vista, CA led by the USAA National Coaching staff.
The National Elite U18 camps provide an excellent opportunity to receive premier coaching from USAA’s National Coaching staff in an elite training environment, train with peers and Resident Athletes and learn more about training plans and sport performance services utilized by elite archery athletes.
To participate in 2023 USAA High Performance Programs, there is a registration entry fee of $150 per program, which includes a custom program jersey and access to online quarterly trainings to further development within USAA’s athlete competencies.
