COACH OBSERVER PROGRAM

The Coach Observer Program creates opportunity for coaches with growth mindsets to witness coaches applying contemporary how-to-coach and what-to-coach skills with elite-level athletes in high-performance settings. The Coach Observer Program offers opportunities for professional growth at three levels:

  1. Regional Elite Program (REP): Level 3 and higher Coaches may register to observe REP Coaches using evidence-based, athlete-centered practices in a high-performance setting. View the camp schedule here and contact [email protected] for more information. It is recommended potential candidates contact USA Archery at least four weeks prior to the camp start date.
  2. Para High Performance Camps: Level 3 and higher Coaches may register to attend certain Para High Performance Camps to observe experienced Para coaches and national athletes during active training.
  3. Resident Athlete Program: The Resident Athlete Coach Observer Program allows Level 4 and higher Coaches to observe high-performance coaches apply evidence-based and athlete-centered practices with elite-level Resident Athletes in the Chula Vista training facility in California.

Contact [email protected] fore more information.

Regional Elite program coachES

Each of the five Regional Elite Program (REP) regions consist of one head coach and multiple assistant coaches. REP Coaches work with athletes in the Regional Elite Program to plan, organize, and facilitate multiple Camps each summer. Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills are required, especially for each regional head coach. Commitment to evidence-based and athlete-centered coaching practices is a must.
