ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A venue which is home to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta each October will host the 2024 USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals next July.
Balloon Fiesta Park is spread over 86 acres, with space for 20 game fields, and will welcome the best young archers from across the USA when the JOAD Target Nationals take place from July 17-21.
The Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Target Nationals is open to youth archers in the recurve, compound, fixed pins and barebow divisions.
The most recent edition of JOAD Target Nationals were held in Des Moines, Iowa, with almost 900 competitors. Previously, the event has visited Decatur, Ala., as well as Raleigh, NC.
“We continue to see this event grow each year and can’t wait to see more great archery in Albuquerque next year,” said USA Archery CEO Rod Menzer. “The venue looks outstanding, and we are delighted to partner with Albuquerque Sports Commission and the City of Albuquerque Park and Recreation.”
