COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - USA Archery is honored to recognize the 2018 All-American Academic Team Award Recipients. The Collegiate Archery Program gives archers a chance to compete on a national level with peers who also hold a rigorous academic schedule. This prestigious award recognizes not only excellence on the archery field, but the hard work, and dedication required to balance a heavy practice and competition schedule with excellence in the classroom.
"It is an honor to be a part of the 2018 All-American Academic Team and to be recognized not only for my achievements in archery but also for my academic achievements," commented Erica Gause, who was named to 2016, 2017 and 2018 All-American Academic Teams. "Being part of the All-American Academic Team has shown me the importance of dedication and perseverance when achieving a goal. I am proud to represent my school as a Penn College Wildcat."
The All-American Academic Team is composed of the top 10 archers in each division and class based on the following criteria:
Congratulations to the archers (listed here) who earned spots on the 2018 All-American Academic Team. These archers will receive a certificate and letter from USA Archery commemorating their achievements.
The exciting outdoor collegiate season continues with National Outdoor Collegiate Championships May 17-20, 2018, at the Easton Newberry Archery Center in Newberry, FL and National 3-D Collegiate Championships October 25-28th in Foley, AL.
