USA Archery Awards 2018 Collegiate Regional Coaches of the Year

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - USA Archery congratulates the 2018 USA Archery Collegiate Archery Program Regional Coaches of the Year. These coaches demonstrated exceptional contributions to their archers and the Collegiate Archery Program. In the past year, these coaches have shown tireless dedication to the sport, their archers have seen success in the classroom and on the archery field, and USA Archery thanks these coaches for their continued efforts.

The 2018 Collegiate Archery Program Regional Coach of the Year honors are awarded as follows:

  • East Region: E.G. LeBre, Brandeis University
  • North Region: Glen Bennett, Michigan State University
  • West Region: Sandra Childress, San Jose State University
  • South Region: did not select a coach

USA Archery Chief or Sport Performance and Organizational Development Mary Emmons commented, "We are proud to honor this year's award winners. Collegiate coaches play a critical role in preparing teams and athletes for competition, and also help to support student-life balance and academic achievement."

Collegiate Archery Programs submitted nominations for candidates to USA Archery, and each group had the opportunity to vote for one Regional Coach of the Year for their respective region.

In addition to regional recognition, these three coaches are now in the running for the USA Archery Collegiate Archery Program National Coach of the Year award. USA Archery will send instructions on how to vote for the National Coach of the Year directly to each Collegiate Archery Program.

Votes will be due to USA Archery by May 14th, and the Collegiate Archery Program National Coach of the Year will be announced at the U.S. National Outdoor Collegiate Championships (NOCC) being held at May 17-20th  at the Easton Newberry Archery Center in Florida.
