COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - USA Archery is proud to announce that Rod Menzer has been chosen as the organization's CEO. Last October, USA Archery retained the executive recruiting firm SearchWideto manage the search process for a CEO. After an extensive application period, SearchWide narrowed a large candidate pool to a shortlist of candidates that were presented to the Board in December. SearchWide and the Board conducted thorough interviews over several months and were confident in making a final decision to name Menzer as CEO.
"After an exhaustive search, which uncovered an exceptional set of candidates, the Board of USA Archery is confident Mr. Menzer is the right leader for the organization as we look to continue our trajectory of growth and excellence," said USA Archery Board Chair Julio Mazzoli. "We are pleased that he has accepted this position on a full-time basis."
Menzer had spent over 25 very successful years in sales and sales leadership in the food and beverage industry in addition to serving on the Board of Directors for USA Archery. Menzer eventually served as Chair of the Board before he was hired in May 2017 as USA Archery's Director of Marketing. In September, with the departure of the previous CEO, Denise Parker, Menzer agreed to take on the position as Interim CEO as the Board began their search for a permanent placement.

When Menzer was first selected as Chairperson of the Board, he made a powerful comment that he still upholds as his belief about the direction of organization: "The archers are our lifeblood, we need to continue to find ways to help make them successful and make our pool of shooters deeper. We have programs and events for all our members to enjoy and we need to continue to offer and communicate those opportunities to our members. Archery is fun for the whole family regardless if you shoot it as a hobby or have dreams of Olympic Gold. USA Archery is the perfect partner to help make those goals and dreams real."
