COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – USA Archery is excited to announce that Jonathan Clemins has been appointed to the position of the USA Archery Paralympic Head Coach. Clemins served as an Assistant Coach for the 2022 World Archery Para Championships and as the Head Coach for the 2022 World Games para team and the Para Pan Am Championships. Clemins is also the assistant coach at the University of Pikeville and a USA Archery Level 4 Coach.
Clemins joins the USA Archery Para Program at a critical time as we gear up for success at the 2023 World Archery Para Championships and the 2023 Para Pan Am Games, which both serve as quota events for the 2024 Paralympic Games. As the Paralympic Head Coach, Clemins will focus on advancing the 2022-2028 Para High Performance plan, which includes expanding the Para program at all levels from grassroots to gold medals, with emphasis on the following high performance pillars: athletes, coaching, competitions, training and leadership.

USA Archery's Chief of Sport Performance and Operations Mary Emmons commented, “We look forward to supporting Clemins in his new role. USA Archery will work collaboratively with Clemins and the sport performance team to continue to prepare athletes for elite competition, while simultaneously looking to expand event and program opportunities for Para athletes and to develop depth in the Para athlete development pipeline.”
