The health, safety and well-being of the archery community is USA Archery’s highest priority, and we continue to closely monitor the coronavirus pandemic situation. Given what we know of the current situation, USA Archery with the support of the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 JOAD Target Nationals from July 15-19 in Decatur, Alabama.
There is no easy answer or perfect solution, but USA Archery is working hard to ensure we do not return to competition until we can be positive of a safe environment that will allow the most people to participate and enjoy the event. We are grateful for the hundreds of responses we received on our survey and your feedback was important to our decision-making process.
Please know, we share your heartbreak in postponing this event – we look forward to this event every year and greatly anticipate the next time we’re all safely able to be on the field again together. We will be sure to provide at minimum 60 days’ notice when a new date is selected, or notify membership ASAP if we will not be able to hold the event this year.
If you have already registered for the event, your registration will be applicable for the new dates, when announced. If we are not able to reschedule the event, registrations will be automatically refunded.
