USA Archery Announces Speaker Lineup for 2019 National Symposium

Registration is open for the 2019 USA Archery National Symposium, a conference designed for coaches, athletes, parents and club leaders to take their athletes, clubs and abilities to the next level.The Symposium will be held at the Hyatt Regency Houston Intercontinental Airport, Houston, Texas on October 18-20, 2019.

Previously known as the Coach Symposium, this event has been rebranded and expanded to include sessions for athletes, parents and club leaders. Attendees can expect various key breakout sessions led by experts in a variety of coaching, leadership, and archery related fields.

USA Archery is honored to have Kristen Dieffenbach, Ph.D. as our keynote speaker at the 2019 National Symposium. Dieffenbach will discuss The Learning Process, and the steps athletes, coaches and parents can take to better understand and facilitate the learning process.

Dieffenbach has a Ph.D. in Exercise Science with an emphasis in exercise and sport psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Currently she is the president of the United States Center for Coaching Excellence and serves on the research committee for the International Council on Coaching Excellence. She has worked with the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, and countless National Governing Bodies of sport.

Dieffenbach has published research articles in scientific journals and contributes regularly to numerous publications such as Olympic Coach, Performance Conditioning for Cycling, Runner’s World, Backpacker, Bicycling, Adventure Sports Magazine, and on the Outdoor Life Network.
