USA Archery announces plans to form Coach Advisory Council

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Archery is seeking applicants for a new Coach Advisory Council, to be comprised of four Coach Representatives and two Athlete Representatives.

The Coach Advisory Council will make recommendations to USA Archery on their instructor and coach certification programs, continuing education, and opportunities and challenges in the coaching community.

Coach Advisory Council representatives will be elected by current USA Archery Level 2 Instructor and higher coaches. Coach Representatives must be a current USA Archery member in good standing with a current USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification or higher.

Athlete Representatives must be 18 years of age or older, have a current USA Archery membership in good standing, a current USA Archery Background Screening, and a current U.S. Center for SafeSport Training. It is recommended that Athlete Representatives have an interest in coaching.

“The Coach Advisory Council will be a great asset to the organization and will provide an avenue for the coaching membership’s voice to be heard,” commented USA Archery’s Director of Education, Guy Krueger, who will oversee the advisory council.

“This advisory council will provide USA Archery an opportunity to better serve our coaches and instructors.”

USA Archery is seeking applications for each position on the Coach Advisory Council. Nominations may be submitted here and will be due August 15. Please contact [email protected] at USA Archery for more information.
