COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The announcement this week of a new elite training center opening in North Carolina is the latest example of the growth of the sport and with it comes new faces to USA Archery.
Assistant Head Coach Chris Webster will be joined in Charlotte, NC, by High Performance Program Manager, Carley Lowe, as well as Club Development Manager, Livy Delage.
Anna Miscione is the High Performance Program Coordinator and will be based at Chula Vista, CA. A former international recurve archer for the USA, Anna will assist with high performance program management.
The High Performance Program team will oversee, among other things, the Resident Athlete Program, the National Elite Program (18+ and U18), Regional Elite Program, Short-Term Training Program, National Teams and sport performance services.
Livy joins after a spell with the Carolina Panthers of the NFL and her role as Club Development Manager will involve overseeing the Explore Archery Program, youth and adult clubs, collegiate programs, club grant programs and the overall club growth development strategy.
The Events Team within USA Archery also has a new look to it. Andy Neville, the Senior Director of Events and Officials, has been joined by Kristy Wapniarski as the National Events Manager.
Andy also acts as an International Judge, while Kristy is a Continental Judge with World Archery Americas. Both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their roles and, like Carley, Livy and Anna, will be a considerable asset to both USA Archery and the sport of archery.
USA Archery CEO, Rod Menzer said, “With the addition of the new high performance training site in North Carolina and additional staff organizational wide, USA Archery is well positioned to provide expanded opportunities and customer service to USA Archery members and clubs and will have the necessary resources to continue growing the sport in alignment with the USA Archery 2022-2028 Strategic Plan."
