DECATUR, Ala. -- The 2022 JOAD Target Nationals finished today with the highly anticipated and spirited team rounds competition.
Nearly 800 archers braved the Alabama heat through two full days of qualifications and a single day of eliminations at which the JOAD National Champions were crowned.
On the final day of competition, archers were randomly assigned to teams by category, and teams were ranked for eliminations. Smiles lined the tents, and fun team names like Periwinkle Baboons, Chocolate Sheep, Lilac Weasels, and Coffee Otters were the highlight of the event.
“I love team rounds. It’s a really fun environment to shoot in and low pressure so I get to just enjoy shooting with friends,” said Cyan Spiders team member Carson Sikes.
