This year’s USA Archery Virtual Symposium brings coaches, athletes, parents, and club leaders insights and information from world-renowned athletes, coaches, and subject matter experts. The Virtual Symposium will feature 7 sessions between July and August.
This year’s symposium will take a look at evidence-based performance and coaching methods and the information will be applicable to intermediate to elite athletes, coaches and parents. Participants will hear from world renowned experts in archery, coach education, motor learning and control and sports psychology. Gabriele Wulf, Ph. D. who is one of the leading experts in motor control and learning will share her OPTIMAL Theory of Motor Learning. Wade Gilbert, Ph.D. will share how to build trust in coaching, and Lanny Bassham of Mental Management System will explore Parenting Champions. Dr. Peter Haberl from the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee will open our minds to the benefits of Mindfulness in Archery.
Archery specific topics this year will include Movement Analysis with National Head Coach KiSik Lee, Field Archery Tips and Tricks with Team USA archers Paige Pearce and Brady Ellison, Target Panic with Joel Turner of Shot IQ, Selecting the Right Equipment with Heather Pfeil from Lancaster Archery Academy, and promoting and marketing your club with Scott Booth, host of Raising an Archer podcast.
Sessions will be recorded and sent to all registered participants if you miss the live time or want to review a session. Sponsors including Black Rifle Coffee Company and Xero Shoes will be providing giveaway products for lucky participants.
