COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – We are pleased to announce that the Regional Elite Development (RED) program will be expanded to include and rebrand the Compound Junior Dream Team (CJDT) in 2020. In 2019 USA Archery implemented the REDProgram, effectively combining, rebranding and expanding the former Recurve Junior Dream Team (JDT) and Regional Dream Team (RDT) programs to create a singular recurve athlete development program. Under this new model, the original concept of JDT and RDT was preserved, but expanded to focus on the development of the total athlete, as well as the athletes’ personal coaches. In 2020, USA Archery will host combined Compound and Recurve RED Program camps in each region.
USA Archery will begin reviewing applications for the 2020 RED Program following the final United States Archery Team (USAT) event of the calendar year. Priority will be given to individuals appointed to the Cadet USAT for the following year. Individuals who do not make Cadet USAT but are committed to a program of preparation to make a future USAT and desire to represent the United States on future international teams are encouraged to apply to the RED Program.
