SANTIAGO, CHILE – Just when you thought the archery tournament season was over, the 2022 Pan Am and Para Pan Am Championships will take place this week from November 21-27 at the Bernardo O´Higgins National Military Academy in Las Condes County in Chile’s capital city of Santiago. This tournament is a World Ranking Event and will be the main Qualifier Tournament for the Santiago 2023 Pan American and Para Pan American Games.
The Pan Am and Para Pan Am Championships will provide the greatest opportunity for the United States to earn quota slots for the 2023 Pan and Para Pan Am Games, also taking place in Santiago, Chile. Those Games will then serve as an important qualifier event for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, to be held in Paris, France.
USA Archery has 38 athletes in Santigo representing the United States in the following divisions:
Recurve Women are Catalina Gnoriega, Casey Kaufhold, Jennifer Mucino-Fernandez, and Savannah Vanderwier. Recurve Men are Jackson Mirich, Joonsuh Oh, Matthew Requa, and Jack Williams.
Compound Women are Cassidy Cox, Madison Cox, Paige Pearce, and Alexis Ruiz. Compound Men are Nick Kappers, James Lutz, Tate Morgan, and Sawyer Sullivan.
Barebow Women are Maggie Brensinger, Fawn Girard, Christina Lyons, and Susan Snider. Barebow Men are Marcus Cooley, Jarrett Kellan, Rick Stonebraker, and Matt Yacca.
Para Recurve Open Women are Candice Caesar and Valeria Duron. Recurve Open Men are Kevin Mather, Michael Lukow, and Eric Bennett.
Para Compound Open Women are Wendy Gardner and Erev King. Para Compound Open Men are Richard Burkett, David Cunningham, Douglas Godfrey, and Andre Shelby.
W1 Women will be represented by Lisa Coryell. Para W1 Men Lucas Herro and Jason Tabansky will wrap up the rosters for the 2022 Pan Am and Para Pan Am Championships.
Hosted by World Archery Americas, the continental association leading the sport of archery in the Americas, Santiago will welcome a record number of 336 archers from 26 countries to the 2022 Pan Am and Para Pan Am Championships.
