COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Hot on the heels of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, plus World Field and World 3D Championships, we can look forward to much more international competition this year.
There will be world championships at senior, para and youth level, as well as the World University Games and the World Games. We also have to look forward to the Indoor World Series making two stops in the United States in 2025, as well as the regular schedule of domestic events throughout another busy year.
Chicago makes its debut as a host city for the Indoor World Series from February 12-14. That is followed by The Vegas Shoot from March 5-9. The Indoor World Series Finals will be hosted in Las Vegas on March 8. To compete in the finals event archers must qualify, with World Archery producing an elite Indoor World Series ranking list based upon points accumulated from each stage.
Before this, the Horseshoe Las Vegas Events Center will play host to the USA Archery Indoor Nationals Final on March 5. Casey Kaufhold will be seeking an incredible sixth win in a row in the recurve women division.
The United States Archery Team (USAT) Qualifier Series again takes in the AAE Arizona Cup (April 4-6), Easton Foundations Gator Cup (April 25-27), Easton Foundations SoCal Showdown (June 20-22) and the Rebel Gear Buckeye Classic (July 25-27). There are also trials for various world championship teams in and around Gator Cup and SoCal Showdown.
This year, the HotelPlanner USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals lands in East Lansing, Mich, running from May 15-18. The HotelPlanner USA Archery Collegiate 3D Nationals will be back in Foley, Ala., taking place October 2-4.
Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque, N.M. will again host the WIAWIS USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals & JOAD U.S. Open (July 16-20), while a new venue will welcome the 2025 USA Archery Target Nationals & U.S. Open from August 14-17, with the event taking place in Springfield, Mo.
And the USA Archery Field Nationals return to the Koteewi Archery Range in Noblesville, Ind. Competition runs from June 13-15.
The Hyundai Archery World Cup will return to a four-stage format, plus the World Cup Final. It was reduced to three last year due to the Olympic Games. Stage 1 takes place in Haines City, Fla. from April 7-12. The remaining three stages are in Shanghai, China (May 5-10), Antalya, Turkey (June 9-14) and Madrid, Spain (July 7-12). The final will be held in Nanjing, China, with dates to be confirmed.
A busy summer continues with the World University Games (July 22-26). These are set for Essen in western Germany, close to the border with Belgium and the Netherlands. That will be followed by the World Games in the historically rich city of Chengdu, the fourth most populous city in China, from August 7-17.
We then have the first of the three world championships. The World Youth Championships are being hosted by Winnipeg, Canada, August 17-24. A busy September involves the World Archery Championships (September 5-12) and the World Para Archery Championships (September 22-28), both of which take place in the Korean city of Gwangju.
