NEWBERRY, Fla. – Archers can now register for Gator Cup, the second outdoor United States Archery Team (USAT) Qualifier Series event of the year, which takes place at the Easton Newberry Sports Complex from May 10-12.
This year’s Gator Cup has the added element of serving as the Stage #5 Olympic Trials Qualification Event and the Stage #2 Paralympic Trials Qualification Event. Gator Cup will be followed by the Stage #6 Olympic Trials Event and Stage #3 Paralympic Trials Event, which will determine the athletes selected for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
New this year at Gator Cup will be a mixed team round test event, which will take place on May 9. Space is limited for this so teams are encouraged to register early.
Gator Cup was first held in 2010, when just 130 archers competed. That number soared to almost 750 for the 2023 edition.
With the event in northern Florida having an Olympic and Paralympic flavor, there is sure to be a little extra energy and excitement for the 15th edition in the Sunshine State.
Unofficial practice will be offered from May 7-9, while all coach credentials must be purchased in advance. The full schedule can be found here.
