Did you know it is incredibly easy to expand your Explore Archery program to include adaptive athletes? With free USA Archery resources, your program can welcome archers of all ages, genders and abilities with few changes and no cost to your existing practices.
Archery is a sport that is open to everyone; athletes with physical or cognitive impairments, who may otherwise be dissuaded from participating in sports can participate in archery alongside athletes without any disability.
Simple adaptations to archery programs can break the stigma associated with disabilities and remove the barriers to conversations and interactions among groups of people who might otherwise be separated. This environment can be an enriching experience for all students of archery.
USA Archery has extensive resources available for FREE to help program leaders work with adaptive archers. Adaptive archery resources include our Adaptive Archery Manual, the Adaptive Archery video series, grant information for veteran archers and more! Our video library includes content on shooting from a wheelchair, making and using a mouthtab, use of a prosthetic etc.
