USA Archery Seeking Coach Development Manager

POSITION TITLE: Coach Development Manager

SUMMARY:

As the leader of USAA's coaching development programs, the Manager will administer the high- performance plan as it relates to the development of coaches. The Manager will work under the guidance of the National Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach in the efforts related to, coordination of camps and clinics, curriculum updates and educational opportunities whether online or in person. The Coach Development Manager will lead all communication efforts to certified coaches and instructors on opportunities available to them within USA Archery's coaching programs.. Strong organization and communication skills are must. Creative and innovative thinking is necessary to drive the coaching development program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Research and provide feedback regarding other successful programs i.e. other sports, other countries coaching and coach education programs.

  2. Coordinate all L3 - L5 coaching clinics, camps, and coach observer programs.

  3. Leads curriculum development under the guidance of the National Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach for L3, Coach Trainer, L4, L5, and free online coach resources.

  4. Coordinate the training and eligibility of Coach Trainers

  5. Coordinate the National Coach Symposium and Team Leader training

  6. In coordination with the HP Committee, manage all aspects of the ITS program, including solicitation, appointments and communication around the appointments and process to all eligible candidates.

  7. Work with USA Archery's coaching and outreach staff to make modification and updates to L1, L2 and Instructor Trainer materials.

  8. Work with USA Archery's coaching and outreach staff to develop and deliver coach education opportunities outside of the certification program.

  9. In collaboration with the other USAA staff, provide leadership and contribute to the overall coach identification and promotion strategy.

  10. Be a creative and innovative thinker providing solutions to improve the coaching development program and pipeline.

  11. Perform other duties assigned.

POSITION TITLE: Coach Development Manager
POSITION REPORTS TO: Richard Krueger, Assistant Head Coach SALARY RANGE: $35,000 - $50,000 depending on experience and expertise.

CONDITIONS:

  • �  Office environment in Chula Vista, CA Olympic Training Center

  • �  Some national travel will be required

  • �  Non-traditional work hours including weekends and holidays
