SAN DIEGO, California - USA Archery is heading to Chula Vista, California for the 2017 National Outdoor Collegiate Championships. The Easton Archery Center of Excellence is partnering with UC San Diego to host the event, which will be held May 18-21 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center.
The U.S. National Outdoor Collegiate Championship (NOCC) will consist of a welcome parade and reception, one day of Official Practice, two days of 72-arrow qualification rounds, the first followed by the Mixed Team event and the second followed by Team event, and finally individual elimination matches.
Qualification rounds will also serve as the trials event for the 2017 World University Games, to be held August 19-30, 2017 in Taipei City, Taiwan. For more information and how to make the team, please click here for World University Games Team Selection Procedures.
The event will conclude with an awards banquet to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of archers and coaches. Archers can compete for medals in all events in addition to the prestigious National Team Championship award and All-American and Academic All-American Honors.
