COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Are you ready to shoot for the stars? Thanks to World Archery, you can do just that. Archers can apply for coveted international awards for achieving qualifying scores in tournaments.
World Archery - the international federation for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of archery - has partnered with national federations like USA Archery to offer these Performance Awards - which are also known as "FITA Star pins" - to archers across the globe.
Performance Awards - available for compound and recurve archers - are based on scores shot in World Archery sanctioned tournaments. There are multiple pins available, giving archers extra motivation to keep improving.
Senior, Junior, Cadet and Masters archers who are current members of USA Archery are all eligible to earn these awards.
In order to qualify for Performance Award pins, archers must compete in a USA Archery Star FITA sanctioned tournament - which may be at the local, state, national or international level.
Archers can determine if an event qualifies by checking the World Archery events calendar (sort events by "Grade" and select "6 - Other Events) and/or the USA Archery events calendar .
