Oakland Township in MI needs Certified Instructors

Opportunity for Certified Archery Instructors

Oakland Township Parks and Recreation is actively seeking to contract with Certified Archery Instructors to oversee a variety of community archery programs, including After School Archery Program (ASAP), Scout Merit Badge Workshops, organized archery leagues, target archery classes and summer camp archery programs for the coming 2011 spring and summer sessions.

Oakland Township's Marsh View Park Archery Range design and construction was funded through our park millage funds and a grant from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund.  As the first public archery range in the Township, this community archery park will be integral to the development of youth archery programs across Oakland County.  The beginner range will cater to children, students, organized groups and families wishing to practice and develop their archery skills.  The range includes 10 universally accessible shooting lanes as well as a universally accessible observation and staging area.  The Parks and Recreation Department has acquired 10 sets of archery equipment and targets that will be available for participants to use in Township archery programs.

If you are interested in leading Oakland Township archery programs please send your resume to Becky McLogan, Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Director, 4393 Collins Road, Rochester, Michigan, 48306 or email your resume to [email protected].
