COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Michigan State University (MSU) Archery Club, together with the Greater Lansing Sports Authority, have been awarded the bid to host the U.S. Team Trials for the World Archery Indoor Championships (WAIC).
This Team Trials event will take place at the Ingham County Fairgrounds on December 11-13, 2015. The archers who are selected to represent Team USA will be self-funded to the World Archery Indoor Championships, slated for March 1-6 in Ankara, Turkey.
The MSU Demmer Center has recently been awarded Community Olympic Development Program (CODP) status through the United States Olympic Committee. Eric Beaudry, Tournament Director; Katie Glover, MSU Club President; Glen Bennett, MSU Club Coach; and Tom Kinder at the Greater Lansing Sports Authority worked together to achieve this status.
Beaudry has earned a reputation as a top-notch event organizer, hosting the U.S. National Indoor Championships and JOAD National Indoor Championships at the MSU Demmer Center for a number of years. The facility and organizing committee have earned consistent praise from archers and judges alike for the quality of their indoor archery events.
Registration information, once available, will be shared on http://www.usarchery.org as well as USA Archery's Facebook and Twitter.
