COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Following a 2014 Easton
JOAD Nationals tournament that boasted record participation, USA Archery has
announced the names of the JOAD Grand National Champions. These archers have
earned these championship titles thanks to their consistency in shooting
throughout the Easton JOAD Nationals qualification rounds as well as the
elimination rounds.
For the compound bowman men's category, the title
goes to Ethan Eisenmann, while Nicholas Younger and Trey McDonald earn second
and third places, respectively. In the compound cub men's group, Matthew
Weinstein clinches the championship title, while Spencer Yee takes second, and
Ethan Merrill third.
Kolby Hanley is the Grand National Champion in the
compound cadet men's category; Dillon McGeorge and Dylan Sackschewsky have
finished second and third. Christopher Bee delivered the championship win for
the compound junior men's category, while David Houser and Daniel Button earned
second and third.
Sophia Howard claims the championship title for
the compound bowman women's category; Breanna Rutkowski and Kyley Kordick take
second and third place, respectively. Sachiko Keane is the Grand National
Champion for the compound cub women, followed by Hannah Bartos and Riley
Person.
There was also strong competition in the compound
cadet women's group, in which Brooke Miller takes the title of Grand National
Champion. Cassidy Cox is second in this category, while Alexis Ruiz takes
third. For the compound junior women, the title goes to Emily Bee, while
Danielle Reynolds and Brogan Williams clinch the second and third spots,
respectively.
On the recurve side, Fiona Oh is the new Grand National Champion in the recurve bowman women's category; Charlotte Best claims the second spot, while Tiffany Rhee finishes third. For the recurve cub women, it's Inga Pever in the top spot, while Madeleine Ducote and Olivia Huffer take second and third.
Christine Kim claimed the Grand National Title spot in the hotly contested recurve cadet women's category, while Eliana Claps finished second, and Alice Buswell third. For the juniors, Elizabeth Caughell clinched the title, with Anna Miscione coming in second and Paige Hill in third.
The competition was also very fierce for the recurve boys' titles. In the bowman division, Peyton Oka claimed his Grand National Champion title, while Charles Lee and Trenton Cowles finished the event second and third. Brian Bullis, Jr. led the cubs for the championship title, while Tyler King and John Klus finished in the second and third spots.
One of the largest categories - the recurve cadet men - saw Geun Kim take the Grand National Champion title, with Minsoo Kim and Noah Shedroff following in second and third. For the juniors, it was Eliot Simon earning the championship title, with Kent Nitta and Caleb Miller just behind.
