For 2009:
$1000 in youth scholarships: $500, $250, $250 - deadline for electronic submission 30 May
$2000 in college scholarships: $1000, $500, $500 - deadline for electronic submission 30 April
The scholarships in Clarke's honor are competitive. Competition experience and the amount of times you have won/placed in tournaments have less impact than on being the best you can be as a person. It is through exercising good sportsmanship and leadership at every level of archery that sets examples for others. Winning is not everything..
Recipients are chosen on a variety of criteria, including but not limited to: integrity, honor and character -- as reflected by our son Clarke - and are the most important to us.
Thank you to all of those who support Clarke's Scholarship -- 100% of the donations goes to the athletes. Our family pays all administrative and overhead costs.
Most especially thank you to CT State Archery Association, Reading JOAD, and ESDF for your support in 2009.
