COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – USA Archery announced changes to the 52nd USA Archery Indoor Nationals and 2021 JOAD Indoor Nationals, now hosting events alongside state championships to keep archers safer and closer to home. However, as the global health pandemic continues to evolve, and indoor sporting events pose greater challenges with local public health guidelines and restrictions, many of the state event hosts are facing difficulties hosting their events as planned.
To best accommodate our local organizers, and the many archers who are looking forward to an opportunity to compete this season, USA Archery is allowing Indoor Nationals events to run alongside state events through the end of March, instead of the initial February deadline. It is our understanding that the extended dates will allow more local organizers to safely hold events. However, this also means that the USA Archery Indoor Nationals Final must be cancelled.
USA Archery Indoor National Champions will be determined from final placement from the 52nd USA Archery Indoor Nationals when results are combined from all locations. Prize money will be allocated to the senior recurve and compound men and women at $2,000 USD for 1st place, $1,000 USD for 2nd place and $500 USD for 3rd place. All divisions competing at the USA Archery and JOAD Indoor Nationals will be awarded medals based on the final combined results at the end of March.
It is USA Archery’s hope that these changes will allow more archers to compete, and we look forward to seeing you at the range soon. Event schedule changes will be announced as information is available. If you have not yet signed up to participate, you can register now to join us at Indoor Nationals!
