COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – USA Archery congratulates the 2021 USA Archery Collegiate Archery Program Regional Coaches of the Year. These coaches demonstrated exceptional contributions to their archers and the Collegiate Archery Program as a whole. In the past year these coaches have faced many challenges related to COVID-19 and navigating collegiate athletics. They have shown tireless dedication to the sport, and their archers have seen success in the classroom and on the archery field. USA Archery thanks these coaches, and all collegiate coaches, for their continued efforts.
The 2021 Collegiate Archery Program Regional Coach of the Year honors are awarded as follows:
USA Archery CEO Rod Menzer commented: “USA Archery is proud to recognize the efforts of the collegiate Regional Coaches of the Year. In an especially challenging year where many programs were unable to compete, or event meet for practice, we are so grateful for the coaches who worked tirelessly to keep their archers engaged and programs running smoothly. The Regional Coaches of the Year go above and beyond in helping their archers achieve success on the target and in the classroom.”
Collegiate Archery Programs submitted nominations for candidates to USA Archery, and each group had the opportunity to vote for one Regional Coach of the Year for their respective region. In cases where one nomination is received for a region, no vote is held.
In addition to regional recognition, these two coaches are now in the running for the USA Archery Collegiate Archery Program National Coach of the Year award. USA Archery will send instructions on how to vote for the National Coach of the Year directly to each Collegiate Archery Program.
Votes are due to USA Archery by May 17th, and the Collegiate Archery Program National Coach of the Year will be announced at Collegiate Target Nationals May 20-23rd in Richmond, VA.
