Olympic and Paralympic archers set to benefit from $100m donation to the USOPF

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Following a historic $100 million donation to the United States Olympic and Paralympic Foundation (USOPF), all athletes involved from the 2026 Winter Games to at least the 2032 Summer Games will receive $200,000 in financial benefits.

As a result of this generous donation from Stone Ridge Holdings Group - whose founder and CEO, Ross Stevens, is a long-time Team USA supporter - every single Olympic and Paralympic archer representing the United States at the 2028 Games in Los Angeles and the 2032 Games in Brisbane will be entitled to the following:

  • $100,000 to Live: Eligible athletes will be able to access this award 20 years after their qualifying Games or at 45 years of age, whichever is later. The grant will be paid over the course of four years and can be used for any purpose, such as starting a business or supporting their families.
  • $100,000 to Protect: Eligible athletes will receive a guaranteed benefit for their families or chosen beneficiaries upon their death.
  • Multiplier Effect: Eligible athletes will receive $200,000 in benefits for each Games in which they “compete”. For instance, an athlete competing in three Olympic or Paralympic Games would receive $600,000 in benefits.

“This incredibly generous commitment by Ross Stevens will bring about financial security for the archers who represent our country on the greatest stage,” said Rod Menzer, CEO of USA Archery. “Our elite athletes make huge sacrifices in chasing Olympic and Paralympic success, but as well as providing assistance for them post-career, this will also help support their families, who give up a great deal to help support their loved ones reach the very top of our sport.”

Being host nation in 2028, the USA will field a full quota of Olympic and Paralympic archers in each division. The next Olympic Games will run from July 14- 30, 2028. The Paralympic Games follows, stretching from August 15-27.
