DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Wendy Gardner and KJ Polish will seek to repeat their success at last year’s Para Pan American Games when they go for gold in the compound mixed team event on Thursday, the final day of the 8th Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament.
The USA pairing faces Turkey, having overcome Chinese Taipei, Brazil and Korea en route to the gold medal match.
Polish will look to bag a second medal a little later Thursday when he tackles Jonathon Milne of Australia in the bronze medal match of the compound men open.
The focus on Wednesday was on the quest to secure more quota slots for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. Jason Tabansky (W1 men, pictured) and Teresa Wallace (compound women open) went closest, falling at the semifinal stage. Tabansky went on to claim bronze, with Wallace finishing fourth.
