COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - USA Archery is proud to congratulate all archers who participated in our first ever Virtual Tournament. For the first time ever, the quarterly Mail-In Tournament became the quarterly Virtual Tournament, hosted entirely online at ArcheryEvents.com. This exciting change allowed even more archers to shoot locally and compete nationally.
In the new Virtual Tournament, clubs are able to post results online with easy and inexpensive online payment options. This lets archers of all ages see how they match up against archers from around the nation and compete for exciting prizes, including awards for club participation and the Club Spirit photo competition.
Melody Scott of Chesterfield Golden Arrow Archers JOAD Club shared how her club was so successful with mass participation in this event: "I was excited to use the online registration feature since it makes it easier on me as the event organizer/coach to set up the event and confirm who is coming, and enables the archers to pay in advance."
She added that the online scoring made the event even more accessible and simple than the mail-in event: "We also really liked the online scoring feature. We didn't use live scoring or any of the advanced features, but entering the scores online allowed the archers to double check that scores were being entered correctly and also see how they did along side others in the club."
Melody continued: "I was concerned that entering all those scores would be time consuming but in fact it took less time than I used to take when filling out the mail-in form since all the archers' information was already entered when they registered. Scores were entered and published within minutes of my sitting down to the computer!"
Complete results from the Virtual Tournament are available here including team and individual results. To view final standings, input your division information at the top of the page.
We are also very excited to announce that the club that demonstrated the most spirit and commitment to this quarter's School Spirit theme through photos submitted to USA Archery goes to Music City Archery!! They will receive a prize package including a banner for their JOAD program and a 40-pack target face assortment for their range!
Please contact Event Development Manager Jon Taylor at [email protected] with any questions about the Virtual Tournament. Stay tuned for the beginning of the Q4 Virtual Tournament, which will be announced later this month!
