USA Archery and Easton announced Wednesday that the arrow manufacturer has renewed its long-standing sponsorship of USA Archery through 2012, which includes both an equipment and tournament contingency program.
Easton Technical Products, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, will be the exclusive arrow supplier to the senior and junior U.S. Archery Team (USAT, Jr. USAT); Para U.S. Archery Team (Para USAT); the Junior Dream Team (JDT); and the Resident Athletes training at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.
New for this year is the Easton Event Contingency Program. The Easton Event Contingency Program will reward the top three athletes at major USA Archery tournaments a financial incentive if Easton arrows are used in competition. The program is available to any USA Archery athlete at the U.S. Target Championships; U.S. Open Championships; U.S. Indoor Target Championships; U.S. Field Championships; and the seven USAT qualifying events. Additionally, athletes are eligible for the contingency program at the U.S. World Field Trials; the four World Cup events; World Cup final; and World Field Championships. "The Easton Contingency Program is a great incentive and motivator for our national teams," said Denise Parker, USA Archery CEO. "Easton has been driven to grow archery throughout the world for many years and we are committed to working with them in supporting our U.S. national teams and training programs."
The top U.S. athletes on all USA Archery teams covered within this sponsorship will receive complimentary or discounted Easton arrows for competitions and training. "The accessibility to quality products for our National Teams is critical to the success of our athletes internationally," said Parker. "I know that I speak for all the athletes when I say we are thrilled and thankful for the continued support from Easton Technical Products."
