*****NEW UPDATES*****
JOAD Nationals is fast approaching! If you have not registered please do so today! Registration will close at 12 noon - mst. Friday, June 18th. After this time and date no registrations will be taken.
We are updating the current registered archers every Friday. Please be sure to check that we received your registration and that we have you registered in the proper division and discipline. The last update will be no later than Saturday, June 19th.
There has been a slight change in the Team events. We are concerned that there is not enough time to fit both the Mixed Team Event and the Team Event in. We will only be shooting ONE TEAM EVENT, with Recurve Archers shooting on Friday afternoon and Compound Archers shooting on Saturday afternoon. Everyone will be placed on a team within their discipline. It is still important for all archers to participate in the Team Event to be eligible for the JOAD Grand National Champion Award.
Each athlete will be expected to sign an Athlete Pledge. The USAA Code of Conduct and Athlete Pledge have been posted here so that you may take a look at those documents prior to arriving in Des Moines.
If you have any questions, please contact Diane Watson 727-389-3264 or email at [email protected].
In addition to the NTS Seminar, There will be a Rules Briefing at the JOAD Meeting on thursday evening, June 24th at 6pm at the host hotel, Holiday Inn, 6111 N. Fleur Drive, Des Moines.
If you are looking for something to do other an archery while you are in town, please check out www.SeeDesMoines.com for some great coupons on dining, shopping and attractions. The Iowa Cubs (MLB's AAA affiliate of the Chicago Cubs) will be playing in town, June 24th and 25th. There will be a fireworks show at the game on both evenings.
