 Easton JOAD Nationals

This tournament selects the JOAD National Outdoor Champions in each of the JOAD Categories and is needed by those archers who are vying for a spot on Jr. USAT. There will also be tryout for the Youth Olympic Game spots where one female and one male from the recurve discipline will travel to Singapore to compete on behalf of the USA at the first annual Youth Olympic Games (YOG).

Registration Information:

Individuals, All Divisions: $100 U.S. if postmarked by May 30, 2010. $125 U.S. if postmarked after May 30, 2010. No registrations will be taken at the field. Cancellations and refunds accepted thru June 11, 2010. A 25% service charge will be reatined on all refunds. Returned checks will be charged $20 plus shooting fees. A seperate registration form is required for each participant.

Event Format and Summary:

Divisions:  Junior, Cadet, Cub and Bowmen

Events:   144 arrow qualification round, Team Round, and Olympic Round (OR) Matches using the FITA Set System; Youth Olympic Games Trials

Standings:  Archers will compete in the 144 arrow qualification round, the Team Round, and the Olympic round using the FITA set system. The JOAD National Grand Champion is based on final placement in the qualification ranking round, participation in the team round and the final placement of the Olympic Round. All ties will be broken via FITA rules. Jr. USAT points are based on current USA Archery Rules. To read more about Jr. USAT click here.

Awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded in the Qualification Ranking Round, the Team Event, and the Olympic Round in Junior, Cadet, Cub and Bowmen for Recurve and Compound, Male and Female.

A JOAD National Grand Champion award will be awarded in Junior, Cadet, Cub and Bowmen for Recurve and Compound, Male and Female.

Eligibility:  JOAD National Championship competitors must be a member of a JOAD Club AND a member of USA Archery. Please bring proof of USA Archery Membership at check in time. NFAA Membership is not applicable. If a registrant is a non US Citizen then they will compete in a Guest Class and USA Archery membership is not required. Guest class participants are not eligible for National Grand Champion Awards.

Dress Code:  USA Archery Dress Code applies to Official Practice, Competition Days and YOG Trials. International Teams may wear FITA Code compliant uniforms. No Camouflage attire will be allowed at practice or tournament competition days.
