The U.S. Resident Athlete team were featured Feb. 3 on CNN's Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. The focus of the show is on brainwaves and the thinking process. The archers were identified by CNN as they use a NeuroSky Head Unit, which measure brainwaves. The athletes were shown Wednesday using the NeuroSky Head Units at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.

The resident team has been using this technology for almost two years to collect data on each of the archers' thought process before, during and after shooting. This data and research has allowed USA Archery National Head Coach Kisik Lee and Resident Athlete Coach Guy Krueger to identify optimal thinking patterns for each of the athletes.
"We are able to see how an archer thinks and from the data we can adjust how they think for a better mental state for competition," said Krueger.
CNN reporter Brooke Baldwin and producer John Margatroyd were given instruction on basic archery during their visit at the Olympic Training Center.
