RICHMOND, Virginia – As USA Archery continues to work with our partners in Richmond for the 136th USA Archery Target Nationals and U.S. Open, we are pleased that the local public health situation continues to look positive for our event.
As of today, Virginia will still be in Phase 3, which allowed us several weeks ago to open registration more broadly. As we approach the event, it appears we will be able to safely allow one support person (parent, guardian, coach, etc.) per participant and additional spectators.
Support personnel will be located in a separate area south of the competition fields. Athletes will be allowed to leave the field of play to communicate with their support person while maintaining a safe 10’ distance. Support personnel will not be allowed to enter the field of play.
There will also continue be a separate spectator field, away from the competition fields where additional family or spectators may wait for participants while they are competing.
All support personnel and spectators will be responsible for compliance with the local regulations for daily health survey and temperature checks. There will be no credential fee for access to either area, but tents and seating will not be provided. Spectators are welcome to bring their own chairs, coolers and small canopies. Please note there will be limited space for personal canopies.
If you have not yet signed up, register today! Note: there will be no late fees for registration. Questions can be directed to [email protected].
