CHULA VISTA, Calif. – E.G. LeBre, USA Archery Level 4-NTS Coach of Brandeis University, Wellesley College and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was named the 2022 National Collegiate Coach of the Year at the USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals Awards Cookout.
This honor is voted upon by collegiate programs across the country from the pool of Regional Coaches of the Year including Craig Holycross (Muskingum University), Kris Strebeck (University of the Cumberlands) and Daniel Kwasniewski, University of Southern California).
Coach LeBre’s archers at Brandeis University, who submitted his nomination, shared: “Our practices are designed by Coach to help us improve at archery, but he also takes time during practices to ask us how we are doing and about our lives outside of archery. He creates a warm and caring environment for members to let go of personal life stress and simply enjoy our time there. Both the coaching and caring combined have truly helped the team improve tremendously…so many of us started with no prior archery experience yet, we have come so far. Coach's excellent coaching can be seen through the awards our team has won in the past and especially this 2021-2022 year.”
His student athletes added: “Competing and practicing archery with Coach guiding us has been a vital part of our undergraduate experience.”
USA Archery is proud to congratulate Coach LeBre on this award. Le Bre also won this award in 2018 and has shown tremendous commitment and service through his years of efforts to grow and support collegiate archery in the United States.
