COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Archery recently nominated a team for the 2022 World Archery 3D Championships, set for September 4-10 in Terni, Italy.
The Lancaster Archery Foundation has generously awarded a grant to help fund the archers representing USA on the world stage. Each archer will receive $500 towards the expenses of this trip and USA Archery is incredibly grateful for the support of the Foundation.
For many of these athletes, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and for others it is a return to the stage where they have stood as champions and medalists in years’ past.
“Our archers make tremendous sacrifice to qualify for this event, train and prepare for success, and to compete at the highest levels of international competition,” said USA Archery CEO Rod Menzer. “USA Archery sincerely thanks the Lancaster Archery Foundation for easing the financial burden on our archers and for supporting them on their road to bring home the gold.”
“We are thrilled to be able to help the archers who recently qualified to compete for Team USA in Italy at the World 3D Championships make their way to this prestigious tournament that’s only held every two years,” said Rob Kaufhold, president of the Lancaster Archery Foundation. “We know it’s an honor and a dream for them to be able to represent the United States on the world stage, and it’s our honor to be able to help them reach that stage. Good luck Team USA!”
