COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - For archers up and down the line, maintaining those energy levels during a long day of competition is crucial and so USA Archery’s new partner, Chinook Seedery, may just provide a solution to fend off those hunger pangs.
Chinook Seedery is a Texas-based company which produces uniquely flavored sunflower seeds, including jalapeño ranch, parmesan and pepper, lemon pepper, dill pickle, hatch chile, smokehouse bbq, cinnamon toast, and original.
As part of the relationship, Chinook Seedery will become the title sponsor of the 140th USA Archery Target Nationals and U.S. Open, which takes place in Lubbock, Texas from August 14-17.
Mark Pettyjohn is the Founder and Chief Seed Enthusiast of Chinook Seedery. He said, “We launched in 2015 having had a vision to do sunflower seeds better. There’s no premium brand in the market, and no better-for-you brand.
“We’re focused on quality and quality ingredients. We roast our seeds in small batches instead of mass producing them, and we’re having a crazy period of growth this year. We’re setting record numbers every month, both online and in retail stores.”
A young company that has already cornered the market in the Lone Star State, they have recently landed in around 1,500 stores in California as their nationwide presence builds.
And Pettyjohn admits sunflower seeds and archery make the perfect fit. He added, “We got to know Brady Ellison, and he told us how many people are eating seeds when they’re practicing, and why not? It’s a great outdoor snack food, whether archery or hunting or camping, hiking, fishing, baseball, or road-tripping.
“We couldn’t be more delighted to be partnering with USA Archery and to have our name associated with an event that is rich in history and deep in quality.”
