COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - USA Archery is excited to announce we will be working with the Archery Shooters Association (ASA) to organize a National 3-D Collegiate Championship event in 2016.
The event will take place October 7-9, in London, Kentucky. While USA Archery will sanction the championship, ASA will host the event, which will follow ASA rules and require USA Archery membership and collegiate eligibility for registration.
As USA Archery moves forward with growing and improving the Collegiate Archery Program, we are pleased to share that in addition to now offering national event opportunities for Indoor, Outdoor, Field and 3-D Archery, there will also be a Collegiate Division at all 2016 ASA Pro/Am Tournaments. "USA Archery is excited to announce this partnership with ASA and expansion of offerings to our Collegiate Archery Program members," commented USA Archery CEO Denise Parker. "ASA produces some of the finest 3-D events in the country and we feel like they will be a great partner for USA Archery in delivering a now complete offering of Collegiate National Championship events."
"The Archery Shooters Association is proud to have been selected to host the Collegiate 3-D Championship for USA Archery," shared Mike Tyrell, ASA President. "We have expanded our national Pro/Am event classes to incorporate collegiate archery, and having the opportunity to produce this event will help continue our commitment to all levels of 3-D participation."
