COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - Whether you are just starting in archery or have been shooting for years, there is likely someone important who helped you get where you are today. USA Archery values our coaches and instructors who promote learning and growth within archery around the nation.
This is your chance to say thank you and recognize someone who helped you achieve your goal, learn something new, or become the person you want to be through archery. USA Archery is seeking nominations for the 2016 Coach of the Year awards.
Coaches can be nominated for any of the five categories, listed below. The winner of each category, in addition to USA Archery recognition, will also be nominated for the U.S. Olympic Committee's Coach of the Year Awards. USA Archery will honor the winner of each category at the 2017 USA Archery Coach Symposium, January 20-22, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
National Coach - A coach of an Elite Level Club, Collegiate, Pan-Am, World Championship or Olympic Games coach or the coach of an elite athlete who competes at the highest level. Click here to download the nomination form.
Paralympic Coach - Coach of an Elite Level Club, Collegiate, Parapan-Am, World Para Championship or Paralympic Games team, or the coach of an elite athlete who competes at the highest Paralympic level. Click here to download the nomination form.
Developmental Coach - A coach of a youth club, high school or junior-level coach, or a coach directly responsible for coaching athletes to the junior and/or elite level. Click here to download the nomination form.
Volunteer Coach - A coach who does not receive payment in any form for their involvement in coaching at any level. Click here to download the nomination form.
Doc Counsilman "Science" Award - A coach that utilizes scientific techniques/equipment as an integral part of his/her coaching methods, or has created innovative ways to use sport science. Click here to download the nomination form.
