Join former World Team Member and current collegiate archer, Ariel Gibilaro at the annual National Symposium, a conference designed for coaches, athletes, parents and club leaders. The Symposium will be held at the Hyatt Regency Houston Intercontinental Airport, Houston, Texas on October 18-20, 2019.
Gibilaro will share her research regarding shoulder injuries and how to prevent the most common type of injury in Archery. Ariel has been in archery since age 10 with great success including placements on the United States Archery Team, international podiums, and as part of USA Archery’s Resident Athlete Program. Gibilaro also has several years of youth archery coaching experience. Following a tendinitis diagnosis in 2014, Gibilaro’s injury and rehab programs piqued her interest in rehab medicine. After finishing 5th in the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, Gibilaro began studying Kinesiology at Texas A&M University, where she has led the team to three national titles and has earned accolades on the field and in the classroom. Her research pertains to archery and shoulder overuse injuries.
In addition to breakout sessions from speakers like Webster, Symposium attendees will have ample time to network and discuss challenges they face in their day-to-day coaching, training and management during social hours. Raffle prizes will be announced throughout the conference with prizes from T.R.U. Ball®/AXCEL® Archery, Easton Archery, Hoyt, Vortex Optics, Teach Like a Champion, and more.
