Twelve top USAA archers earned slots at the recent World Target Team Trials in Conyers, Georgia which includes all members of the 2008 Olympic Archery Team. At the conclusion of this two day selection event, the following men and women archers were named to the team:
Recurve Men-
Brady Ellison, Glendale, AZ, Vic Wunderle, Mason, IL and Richard "Butch" Johnson, Woodstock, Ct.
Recurve Women-
Jennifer Nichols, Cheyenne, WY, Khatuna Lorig, Los Angeles, CA and Kristin Braun, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
Compound Men-
Braden Gellenthien, Woodbridge, VA, Dave Cousins, Standish, ME and Reo Wilde, Pocatello, ID
Compound Women-
Erika Anschutz, Hamilton, OH, Kendal Nicely, Gorham, ME and Diane Watson, Hudson, FL.
Samantha Pruitte, Harlem, GA earned a second place position in this Division but following the competition declined her spot thus moving Kendal to second and Diane to third.
Congratulations to this outstanding team of talent who will represent the USA and compete for World Championship honors in Ulsan, Korea in September. The team staff accompanying them will be Coaches KiSik Lee, Bob Romero, Sheri Rhodes and Linda Beck and High Performance Manager Robby Beyer.
