Oklahoma JOAD Indoor Series Event # 1

Welcome to the 2023/2024 Oklahoma JOAD Indoor Series. 

Event #1 in a four event JOAD tournament series.

Registration fee: $27.50 per event. Registration for each event will be separate.

Awards will be provided for overall performance in the series.  

This is a USA Archery sanctioned event.

 

The first two events of the series will be held in 2023, with the remaining two events in Jan. & Feb. of 2024. If an archer's birth date requires a change in age category on January 1, 2024 it is recommended that the older age category be used for registration in all of the tournament series events. This is to ensure that any points earned in the first two events can be added to the aggregate score for the season.  To check your age class for this year and next, please visit this page where you will find a USA Archery age class calculator. Registration for this is set to check for age of participants based on the 2023 calendar year.

 

Each event will have a random drawing, the selected participant will have their entry fee reimbursed.

·       Event #1: November 18, 2023 at The Arrowshop, Dewey

o   Deadline for registration will be Wednesday November 15, 2022. A $10 fee will be charged for cancellations up to this date, no refunds after November 15.

·       Event#2: December 16, 2023 at Okie-land Bowhunter, Norman

·       Event#3: January 20, 2024 at Okie-land Bowhunter, Norman

·       Event#4: February 17, 2024 at Archery Traditions of Oklahoma, Yukon 

Each event will consist of a 60-arrow single JOAD indoor round (20 ends of 3 arrows) shot at 18-meters. U10 (Yeoman) will shoot at 9m.

This event will be limited to 25 participants per shooting line; there will be two shooting times available; 1pm and 4pm.

Equipment inspection will begin 1/2-hour prior to registered start time.

 

The series will offer U10 – U21 classes for Compound, Fixed Pins, Recurve, Barebow Recurve and Basic Compound divisions. 

·        Recurve and Compound per World Archery rules.

·        Barebow Recurve: bows without sight and other accessories.

·        Basic Compound: Genesis bows up to 20lbs.

·        Fixed Pins:  No magnification, Clarifiers and Verifiers will be permitted. 

                     No adjustments to equipment is allowed during a round.
