This Practical course is for students who have completed their USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification Online Course within the USA Archery Education Hub at their own pace. Upon successful completion of the online course, students will then register for this in-person Practical Course.

Archery is a great way to provide your unit with a fun and challenging activity.  

For a BSA Scout Troop,  you must at least carry a US Archery Level 1 certification to be qualified to run an archery range for your unit.

This Practical course is 4 hours

Where:

Pittsford, NY

The venue is outdoors, so please dress accordingly!

Cost
SWC BSA Camp Staffers is $20,
BSA Scouts and Leaders is $40,
Non-BSA members is $60

Certification Period is Three years from the date of course completion.

Benefits of upon passing this course includes:

(i) USA Archery Mobile Coach,
(ii) Qualified to be the lead Instructor for an Explore Archery Program and,
(iii) Eligible for USA Archery insurance coverage.
(iv) BSA Members - Qualified to run an archery range for BSA Units

Prerequisites for obtaining your NTS Level 1 Certification include:

- An up to date USA Archery Membership,
- Completion of the SafeSport Program course,
- Completion of USA Archery's background screening,
- Completion of the NTS Level 1 Online Certification Course, and the
- Completion of this Level 1 Practical.

All students must be 15 years of age or older.

Each participant will receive: 

- Whistle
- Practice stretch band and string loop
