Level 1 Instructor Practical Course    
at Sunrise Academy, Bakersfield, California 93312

When:  Saturday, October 19, 2024 (approximately 9 AM to 5 PM).
Where: Sunrise Academy, 3212 Jewetta Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93312 (northwest Bakersfield)
Who:  Up to 12 trainees for Level 1 Instructor certification.  For the General Public and Sunrise Academy staff.
             The instructor is a Level 3 NTS Coach (and Levels 1 and 2 Instructor Trainer), David Davenport.

This Practical Course for Level 1 Instructors includes all teaching content specified by USA Archery, plus "bonus"
information and hands-on work with recurve bow maintenance and basic tuning.
Course facilities are on the campus of Sunrise Academy, a private Pre-K to 9th Grade religious school. 
Facilities for this Practical Training include an indoor classroom and outdoor archery range.

The instructor, David Davenport, has 12 years experience as a USA Archery Instructor and Coach. 
He teaches archery on a weekly basis in Bakersfield, CA.
Previous archery experience is helpful, but not required for the Level 1 Instructor Practical Course.
All classroom materials and archery gear are supplied.  You must be at least age 15.

The course fee is $130.  This includes lunch, served on-site; an archery instructor kit; and valuable handouts for new instructors.  An upload of 100+ useful PDF documents is available to those who bring a laptop computer with a USB port.    Payment due by October 11, 2024.

This Practical Course has a pre-requisite.  Trainees must first complete the Online Level 1 Instructor Course offered
by USA Archery, for $40.  Trainees will NOT be eligible to sign-up for the Practical Course until they have passed the
Online Course. 
The Online Course requires 4 hours of screen participation.  It is practical to complete the Online Course about two weeks  before (about October 5) taking the Practical Course on October 19, 2024.
