COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – World Archery is introducing a Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) system to determine participants’ eligibility in the World Cup stages, which will come into effect in time for the 2026 edition.
To be eligible for 2026 Hyundai Archery World Cup stages all athletes need to have achieved the MQS prior to the final registration deadline for the 2026 World Cup stage 1 event. The MQS must be achieved at either at a World Ranking event, during the U21 qualifications round at the 2025 World Archery Youth Championships, or at a national championship event selected by USA Archery.
The 2025 USA Archery Target Nationals will be the event where athletes have the chance to earn the MQS on home soil. The following score needs to be attained at least once within the timeframe outlined:
The 2025 USA Archery Target Nationals and U.S. Open will be held at the Betty & Bobby Allison Sports Town in Springfield, Mo. from August 14-17. The World Archery Youth Championships are in Winnipeg, Canada from August 17-24.
U.S. Team Trials for the World Archery Youth Championships and Jr. Pan American Games will be held at the Easton Newberry Archery Center on April 23, prior to the start of the 2025 Easton Foundations Gator Cup. Registration for the Trials remains open until April 11.
USA Archery will continue to utilize the World Cup and Other International Selection procedures, which are updated annually, to determine athlete selection for World Cup teams, in addition to the World Archery MQS eligibility criteria.
