Colorado Springs, CO-USA Archery is excited to announce major updates to the Instructor Certification Program to include Level 1 Instructor, Level 2 Instructor, and Instructor Trainer, and the corresponding Refresher Courses for these levels, which are now available in an online format!
Students will now complete the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification Online Course or the USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification Online Course within the USA Archery Education Hub at their own pace. Upon successful completion of the online course, students will then register for a shorter, in-person Practical Course.
USA Archery Instructor Trainers will sanction all practical courses through the USA Archery Membership Services Platform. These courses will appear on the USA Archery course locator, so that students who complete the online Level 1 and/or Level 2 Instructor course can easily register for the corresponding practical course, as required.
“USA Archery is excited to announce the new online course offerings, as they will allow students more flexibility to take the online portion of the courses at their own pace, reduce costs for Instructor Trainers and increase the speed in which certifications will be processed as the Instructor Trainers can now pass students online”, stated Mary Emmons, USA Archery’s Chief of Sport Performance and Organizational Development. “These programs ensure safe instruction is provided in Explore Archery programs, USA Archery clubs, summer camps and other archery programs nationwide.”
In addition, Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor Certification Online Refresher Courses are now available and will help to keep instructors up to date with the current course content. Certifications will automatically be extended for three years upon successful completion of a Refresher Course. USA Archery has worked to offer complete instructions for each course, which include tutorial videos on how to register for an online certification course, sanction a practical course, collect registration fees in the USA Archery Membership Services Platform and more.
