COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Archery is excited to introduce the new 3D Achievement Program, available exclusively for USA Archery members through USA Archery Clubs!
The program is designed to assist archers to develop their 3D archery knowledge and skills and to prepare to compete in 3D archery competitions. Participants will earn skill-based achievement awards by participating in a variety on hands on activities focused on Equipment, Distance Judging, Scoring and Conservation, which they can proudly display on lanyards designed for the 3D Achievement Program. The program, which allows for recurve, compound (includes fixed pins) and barebow equipment, will also assist archers to prepare for and progress to 3D competition.
USA Archery Chief of Sport Performance and Operations, Mary Emmons commented, “USA Archery is excited to introduce the 3D Achievement Program to provide additional programming options for USA Archery clubs and also to provide opportunities for archers to develop within the 3D athlete development pipeline.
"3D archery events provide archers and their families additional opportunities to participate recreationally or competitively, and the program will help them to start their 3D journey with confidence."
Similar to the Junior Olympic Archery Development Achievement Program, only USA Archery Club leaders may order 3D Achievement Awards from the USA Archery Shop.
USA Archery sanctions 3D local, state and national championship events annually, as well as hosts the popular Collegiate 3D Regional and National events. USA Archery also hosts the U.S. 3D Team Trials and selects athletes to the 3D World Championship team.
In addition, USA Archery is happy to announce new event participation merchandise that can be ordered by club leaders, parents, and archers. Target and 3D Event Participation Pins and Lanyards are available for purchase on the USA Archery Shop. Pins are available for local, state, and national target and 3D events. After participating in the different levels of events, archers can proudly display these pins on the corresponding lanyard!
