COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – USA Archery, the National Governing Body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of archery, is proud to introduce a partnership for archery organizations throughout the nation with Competition Archery Media (CAM) and Eleven Sports Network to bring archery broadcasts to live television.
Eleven Sports is currently available through nine satellite and cable providers to over 70 million households in seven countries, and its reach continues to expand worldwide. More than 17 million households in the USA have access to Eleven Sports via DIRECTV, Verizon FIOS, Samsung TV Plus, U-Verse and other providers.
USA Archery’s live production affiliate, CAM, was founded with the mission to produce coverage to bring archery into the mainstream, while staying appealing to dedicated archery fans. CAM provides high-quality, broadcast coverage of 3-D and target archery tournaments around the United States.
Eleven Sports and USA Archery have been discussing partnership opportunities since 2018, and following CAM’s successful coverage of USA Archery’s National Indoor Finals in March, USA Archery and CAM together presented a larger opportunity to broadcast archery coverage for the major national organizations including the National Field Archery Association and the Archery Shooter’s Association.
“Bringing archery to live television is the critical next step for the industry and we are grateful for CAM’s dedicated efforts to craft compelling visuals and quality storylines,” shared USA Archery CEO Rod Menzer. “CAM is revolutionizing archery coverage in America and we look forward to working together to grow fan engagement and take the sport to the next level.”
“USA Archery CEO Rod Menzer and other key USA Archery staff members were invaluable in bringing CAM and Eleven together for the benefit of every competitive archer and national archery organization in America,” said CAM founder Rob Kaufhold.
Through this partnership with Eleven Sports Network, CAM’s broadcasts of major national archery events will be shown live on linear programming. In 2019, this will include USA Archery’s U.S. Open Finals on August 17. This offering will expand in 2020 to more of USA Archery’s events.
