2011 World Cup Series
The Federation Internationale de Tir A L'Arc (FITA) 2011 World Cup season is in full swing and our athletes are continuing to find success during these events. Beginning with the first World Cup Stage in Porec, Croatia, our athletes showed consistency from the 2010 season, bringing home a total of seven medals: six gold and one silver!
Determined to outdo themselves at the second stage in Antalya, Turkey last week, Team USA archers returned home with seven more medals: five gold, one silver and one bronze. Rodger Willett Jr., Brady Ellison, the Men's Compound Team & the Mixed Compound Team repeated as the top finishers in the first two World Cup stages for 2011.
Selecting Team Members for 2011 World Cup Stages III & IV

Based on the 2011 World Cup Selection Procedures, the following athletes have secured their position for World Cup Stages III & IV. Remaining positions in each category will be filled by the top ranked archers, not already qualified, from the Rolling Ranking following the 2011 Nor'Easter.

2011 World Rankings - updated June 19, 2011
FITA released updated World Rankings yesterday and the U.S. was well very well represented, with U.S. teams now holding six of the top ten spots.
Following the first two 2011 World Cup stages, the Men's Recurve, Men's Compound, Women's Compound, and the Mixed Compound teams hold the top team positions. Individually the duo of Brady Ellison and Rodger Willett Jr. hold the top ranked positions for the Men's Recurve and Men's Compound, respectively.
The Mixed Recurve Team and Women's Compound archer Erika Anschutz are each currently holding the #2 ranked positions in their categories. In the Men's Compound category Reo Wilde and Braden Gellenthien are respectively ranked #3 and #4.
Following their Silver Medal performance in the 2nd World Cup, the Women's Recurve Team has moved into the Top 10 and is currently ranked ninth. American Khatuna Lorig is continuing to move up the World Rankings and is currently ranked 11th.
USA Archery is extremely proud of our archers' accomplishments. Along with being great athletes, they are terrific ambassadors for our country and our sport. Keep up the great work, Team USA archers!
